7.       Chinese New Year Activities- In these activities, students learn about Chinese New Year or Spring Festival and do lantern, paper cut and scroll activities related to the celebration of Chinese New Year.

8.       Chinese Thematic Unit- Students will explore the customs and culture of China and the Chinese people.

9.       Chinese Words and Phrases- Students will practice writing Pinyun. Students will become familiar with basic Chinese words.

10.    Chinese Yuan- "Students will practice simple algebraic equations."

11.    Cutting Up with Paper- Did you know that paper was invented in China more than 2,000 years ago? The Chinese wrote on paper almost 1,000 years before Europeans did.

12.    Dissidents Delicately Democratize- "Students will read and discuss the article, 'Chinese Dissidents Issue a Sharp Challenge to the Government' on pro-democratic manifestos that were recently written in China, write a journal entry on what human rights mea ns to them, report on several pro-democratic demonstrations that have taken place in China during the last decade and interpret one of the original manifestos."

14.    One China, Two Systems- "In this lesson, students demonstrate an understanding of the term 'peaceful coexistence' and the role that the term plays in the current Chinese process for reunification with Taiwan. Students work in small groups to r esearch and assess the political ideologies, economic stability and national identities of the countries involved in the One China policy."

15.    One China for All?- "In this two-day lesson, students explore relations among Taiwan, China and the United States in the 20th century."

16.    Planet Earth: Almost 6 Billion Served- "In this lesson, students investigate the global population explosion, focusing particularly on comparing India's and China's population control efforts and results. In doing so, students learn how to interpret the United Nations Human Development Reports and understand the relevance and use of the human development index in offering insight into a nation and its challenges."

17.    Post Cards From China- In this activity, students design a postcard from China.

18.    The Age of Imperialism- "The Age of Imperialism" remains a work in progress.
